So it looks like we’ve narrowed things down, and decided where we are cooking in 2007.  With judging certification, and Snowshoe 2007 already done, this is what we have decided on so far for the rest of 2007:

Anheuser-Busch Brewery
Merrimack, NH    June 23-24

Harpoon BBQ Championship of New England/Vermont State championship
Harpoon Brewery Windsor, VT  July 28-29

Rib n Brews Festival
Lowell MA  Sept 8-9

Theme of the Day:  Feast and Famine

   After a terrible outing last year during the grilling day of Harpoon, we felt it would be fitting to start the year with a little redemption.  Our first contest of the year was hosted by the NEBS team Lunchmeat, and was held in Abington MA.   A four category, grilling only event- Fish, Sausage, Steak, Vegetable.

The “whole” team was there (all three of us), and some additional friends showed up for some cheap drinks and some free food.   Thats a good thing to keep in mind, we’ll have to make sure those things are always present…

When all was done with, we ended up with two “walks”, a third in fish, and 5th in steak.  And as you can tell by the “theme”  the other two were less than midfield.  Overall we ended up 9th of 18…

 Not a bad start to the season, hopefully signs of a good things to come.  

 Thanks again to the Lunchmeat team for taking the weekend off from cooking to make the event happen.
